This tour has been programmed to give you a complete tour of Sikkim. In a limited period of time, you can experience the mountains, the flora and fauna and the cultural heritage of this former Himalayan Kingdom. In this tour a short walk to the Sangachholing Monastery has been included for you to experience the serenity of the place.
Day 01
Fly Kathmandu to Biratnagar or Bhadrapur airport (50 min). On arrival meet, assist and drive to Gantok (7hrs approx.) Overnight stay at Hotel Norkhill.
Day 02
Gangtok:(1,600 m)
A.M:
Visit Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Government Institute of Cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten, Research Institute of Tobetology.
P.M:
Visit Rumtek Monastery. This magnigicent monastery was built by the late Gyalwa Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu sect. Overnight stay at Hotel Norkhill.
Day 03
Gangtok: excursion to Tsongu lake.
P.M:
Free day for personal activities. Overnight stay at Hotel Norkhill.
Day 04
Gangtok-Pemayangste (2,085 m/117 km/4/12 hrs)
A.M:
After breakfast drive through semi tropical forests, cardamom plantation and villages.
P.M:
Visit the Pemayangste Monastery, situated adjacent to the Hotel. This is a premier Monastery of Sikkim built in the 17th century. Overnight stay at Hotel Norbu Gang Resort.
Day 05
Pemayangtse- Khechapladri Lake PemayabgsteL (24 km/1/12 hrs)
A.M:
After breakfst drive to Kechapladri lake, which is also known as the 'wishing' lake and is considered very sacred.
P.M:
A short trek to Sangachholig Monastery(2 km/45 min) located on a hillock above the hotel. One a clear day the view of the mountain range is breataking. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06
Pernayangste-Kalimpong(50 km/ 4 hrs)
A.M:
Drive to Kalimpong.
P.M:
Visit Durpin Monastery and Tongsa Gumpa. Overnight stay at Hotel Silver Oaks.
Day 07
Kalimpong-Biratnagar/Bhadrapur/ (150 km/4 hrs)
A.M:
After breakfast, drive to Biratnagar/Bhadrapur airport andcheck in for your flight ot Kathmandu
